When Will Bollywood Stop Forcing Star Kids Onto Us?

The news of Shanaya Kapoor’s Instagram becoming public has taken the internet by a storm. Celebrity children like Ananya Pandey, Janhvi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Navya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Anjini Dhawan & many others are promoted aggressively even before their debuts.

Their PR strategies include getting them papped everywhere and making them switch their Instagram accounts from private to public to make a noise.

Yes, while some of these products of nepotism turn out to be wonderful actors- Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan etc. Not all of them are so great.

The young actresses that have debuted off late are in need of some finesse. Sara Ali Khan debuted with a bang and everyone was raving about how she would be such a fine actress, but 4 films later, all she is remembered for is her trolls from LAK2. Ananya Pandey and Janhvi Kapoor are also on the same line.

I just feel like Bollywood needs to stop forcing star kids onto the audience. These kids need to work on their craft and performances before they are so easily labeled the “next big star”. When will bollywood let the audience decide whether they want to see the actor/actress on screen, and not force their star kids onto us?
