Why Aishwarya Rai Was Slammed With Legal Notices For Kissing Hrithik Roshan?

Aishwarya Rai was all set to add Bachchan to her name in 2007, but little did she know that a legal trouble was heading her way. Her film Dhoom 2 released in 2006 with her first lip lock onscreen. According to reports, that didn't go well with her fans and in-laws. Apparently, the Bachchans had requested Yash Raj Films to drop that scene from the film's final cut. In addition, Aishwarya received legal notices from her fans for kissing onscreen, as they weren't comfortable with that.

So, if actors consider doing their job, should they be slammed like this? It's true that audience can make or mar one's career in Bollywood, but exercising authority and asking for explanation on a 2 seconds kissing scene is a bit too much. What are your views on this?
