Will 'Sooryavanshi' and '83' follow the 'Radhe' model of release?

Salman Khan starrer and Prabhudeva directed action film 'Radhe' will be releasing simultaneously in the theatres and the pay-per-view platform, ZeePlex on the 13th of May. Due to the deadly second wave of COVID-19, several restrictions have been imposed across the country which includes shutting down of theatres.

This means that most regions won't have a theatrical release in India but they can enjoy the film on the ZeePlex platform. This model has divided the industry with many calling it disastrous for the theatrical business while others feel its the need of the hour. Now since the cases are rising day by day and there is no end of this tunnel, will other big films like Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi' and Ranveer Singh's '83' also follow this model? Both the films have been stuck since last year due to the pandemic and looking at the uncertainty of these times, their makers might make a decision pretty soon. A direct OTT release seems to be the norm these days and we won't be surprised if these two films end up releasing on Netflix or Prime.
