YRF head Aditya Chopra pledges to vaccinate 30,000 workers of the Hindi Film industry. Is this a good step?

Yash Raj Films head Aditya Chopra has requested Maharashtra’s CM, Uddhav Thackarey, to let the production house purchase 30,000 COVID-19 vaccines for the daily workers of the industry so that they can resume to work and start earning their livelihood again. In his statement, he has offered to take care of all the expenses for the immunisation programme through the Yash Chopra Foundation. Do you think this is a good step? According to the Hindu, there is shortage of COVID-19 vaccines in government-run and private centres. With such short supply of vaccines, shouldn’t the government first focus on other people who are in more need of the vaccine? Is it that important for the film industry to restart their work amidst the second wave of coronavirus? Do you think that the film industry should be the focus for the immunisation program?
