Team India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets at Mohali to win the second T20I and take 1-0 lead in three-match series. Team India skipper  Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan also contributed with the bat to help the team cross the finish line.

The bowlers also bowled well to restrict South Africa to 149/5 in 20 overs. All-rounder Hardik Pandya who was making a comeback into the side also had a wicket to his name dismissing David Miller. Pandya who was rested after the World Cup not a part of India's tour of West Indies due to niggle in his back.

Pandya made giant strides and cemented his place in Team India across all formats thanks to his contribution with the bat, ball and his acrobatic fielding skills. 

His rise to fame has been nothing short of a struggle. He came from a humble background before becoming one of the most successful cricketers in the country at the moment.

Hardik Pandya took to Instagram to share a picture which shed light on his humble teenage days when he was a struggling club cricketer. Pandya captioned the photo: "To those days when I would travel in a truck to play local matches which has taught me so much. It's been an amazing journey so far..Hell yes, I love this sport!"

In the picture, Pandya can be seen standing in a truck to travel and play local matches. 

While his on-field performance has been appreciated by fans, his career hit an all-time low when KL Rahul and he were suspended and sent back from the Australia tour in January over their comments on a chat show. Inspite of such setback he back strong and had a strong IPL season and performed well in the ICC World Cup in England.
