India's veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has made his choice regarding who should be Team India's first-choice spinner for the upcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies.

Speaking to Times of India Harbhajan said that he would pick Kuldeep Yadav over Ravichandran Ashwin for the Test series.

“On current form, my No. 1 spinner will surely be Kuldeep for the way he takes the ball away from the left-handers and his wicket-taking abilities. Ravindra Jadeja, too, has made most of the chances that he has got in Tests. Probably the only thing working in Ashwin’s favour is his superb record against West Indies,” he said.

India will begin their World Test Championship campaign on Thursday at North Sound in Antigua. With the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav at team's disposal, skipper Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri will have tough choices to make ahead of the first game.

Ravichandran Ashwin who was an automatic choice in the playing 11 a few years back, has a good record in the Caribbean nation picking up 60 wickets. The last time India played against Windies, he was awarded the man-of-the-series for his performance. With Kuldeep Yadav performing well with the chances handed to him, it will be interesting to see as to who will the team management will zero on during matchday.
