Virat Kohli, India's captain, needs only 19 runs more to become the highest run-scorer against West Indies in ODI cricket. He will have the opportunity to make the record in the second ODI against the side when India take on the Men in Maroon on Sunday at Port of Spain.

Kohli, if he crosses 19 runs, will go past Javed Miandad's tally of 1930 runs, which he made in 64 innings against them. Kohli currenty has 1912 runs in only 33 ODI innings against Windies so far. He did not get a chance to bat against them in the first ODI, as the match was abandoned due to rain.

Kohli has scored seven tons and ten fifties against Windies in the format, while Pakistan's Miandad had hit one hundred and 12 fifties against them. The latter played his last game against the American rivals in 1993, and Kohli will be breaking a 26-year record, if he manages to achieve the feat on Sunday.
