The Indian cricket team, who are currently in West Indies, have been given extra security after the BCCI received a hoax message stating that the Indian cricketers were being monitored and that they were in danger. A senior board member later cleared the air and said that it was a hoax warning, but the team has nonetheless been given additional security.

"It was a hoax and all things are in order. The Indian team has been provided with an additional pilot vehicle and the Indian High Commission informed the Antigua government on the same just as a precautionary measure," the functionary explained.

After winning the T20I and the ODI series, the Men in Blue are now gearing up for a Test seriesthat will start from Thursday. It will also be their first game in the World Test Championship. Skipper Virat Kohli is excited about the WTC and stated that India have a good chance of winning the tournament that will have its final in July 2021.

"It (the WTC) is very exciting. I think it's happening at the right time for Test cricket. Although you are going to play a bilateral series, the meaning and importance are way more. You have to plan for every series. I was excited about something of this sort and now it's coming to life," he said.
