Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya stated that comparisons between him and his younger brother Hardik Pandya does not bother him. He added that the two are different individuals, who have different mindsets, but their aim ultimately remains to make India proud and contribute for the national team.

Also stating that he wants to represent India in all three formats and not just in T20Is, Krunal added that he hopes to play in the World T20 Cup that will be held in Australia in 2020.

Krunal was picked in the recent T20I series against Windies, and scalped three wickets and hit 32 runs to win the Man of the Series award. He is not yet a regular in the side, however, in contrast to Hardik, who plays all three formats for the Indian team.

"There has never been a case of getting out of Hardik's shadow. We enjoy each other's success. Have never thought of any comparison as our journeys have been very different. There has never been any insecurity. Whoever succeeds, the other person is very happy. Our mindsets are very different and the focus is on making the country proud," Krunal Pandya told IANS in an interview.

"The dream is to represent India in the World T20. Every performance will matter, but that is a long term goal. For now, it is about making it to the team in the next series and then do well.

"If I manage to keep performing, the goal of playing in the World T20 in Australia will obviously be fulfilled. However, for now, the focus is the next series against South Africa. Always important to take it one at a time."

He is not a member of the ongoing ODI series against Windies, while Hardik has been rested as well. Team India have won the second ODI after the first game was washed out, and will play the third and final ODI on Wednesday.
