A few Sri Lankan cricketers are hesitant to travel to Pakistan for a limited over-series that will feature three T20Is and three ODIs from September. The series also has two Tests, but the Pakistan Cricket Board shifted them to UAE after the Sri Lanka Cricket board were apprehensive of playing the games in the country.

According to reports, the tour was finalized after the two cricket boards discussed the matter. However, Sri Lankan keeper Niroshan Dickwella and all-rounder Thisara Perera are not eager to tour Pakistan. The report also stated that other members from Sri Lanka are unwilling to tour the country, though their names were not clear.

It must be remembered that terrorists attacked the Sri Lanka cricket team bus in 2009, leaving seven players injured. Since then, no international team has been keen to travel to Pakistan, with the side hosting their home games in UAE.
