Actress Divya Dutta is upbeat about playing her first ever negative character in the upcoming film "Chalk n Duster".

"This is my first negative role so I am really looking forward to it. This is something I haven't done before. So I am very excited," the actress said here on Sunday at the mahurat shoot of the film.

"Chalk n Duster" is a coming of age story, dealing with the life of teachers and their hardships in keeping up with the ever-changing education system and societal norms.

Actress Divya Dutta, though excited about her first dark and intense revenge drama "Badlapur", says she is not a revengeful person in real life.

"It (revenge) depends on who the person is. But my revenge will be harmless unlike my film (Badlapur)," Divya said at the film's screening here when asked whether she ever gets a chance to take revenge.

The 37-year-old is impressed with her "Badlapur" co-star Varun Dhawan and feels proud of him in his taking the risk of doing a dark and intense film so early in his career.

"I was scared. I am coming from the show (the film's screening) and I closed my eyes in a few scenes. I felt weird that a film you are a part of can impact you to such an extent," the 36-year-old said here Wednesday at a press meet of the film.

"This is a first-time experience for me and the feeling is very strange. It's very intriguing that you are on the screen, but still you are getting scared," she added.

Dharma Productions' "Gippi" and Saif Ali Khan's production "Go Goa Gone" are hitting the screens together May 10, but actress Divya Dutta, who plays a mother to a teenage girl in "Gippi", is not worried. She says her movie has its niche audience.

Mona Singh apparently put Karan Johar's 'Gippi' team in trouble when she allegedly walked out of the movie just a few days before the shoot was to start.

A source close to the project reveals, “Mona had been signed on to play the role of Gippi’s mother in the movie. Gippi is a teenager and the film revolves around the problems faced by adolescents. She was the first choice and all the required paperwork was done. However, just close to a week before the unit could take off to Shimla for the shoot, she backed out.”

"I have recently signed two other very big (Indian) films. I have signed a Hollywood flick too...I can't talk about those now," she told IANS.
