The theatre staff were given black robe that the lawyers wear while a huge hammer was installed at many venues, indicating that the trailer of the film would be previewed inside.

Akshay Kumar will reprise superstar Vijay's role in the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster "Kaththi".

"Lyca Productions and A.R. Murugadoss will jointly produce the remake, which will be directed by debutant Jagan," a source close to Murugadoss told IANS.

"Kaththi", which featured Vijay in dual role, was directed by Murugadoss and produced by Lyca.

The film's shooting will start from April 2016.

The trailer of "Brothers" has received a roaring response with over eight million views on video-sharing site YouTube.

The almost three-minute trailer of "Brothers", an official remake of the 2011 Hollywood film "Warrior", opens with a wrestling ring and shows how two brothers indulge in an intense physical and emotional face-off.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is co-producing the film, took to micro-blogging website and shared: "The #Brothers trailer at 8 million!!! #BrothersAreComing #august14".

"Gabbar Is Back" stars Akshay Kumar and Shruti Hassan's arrival at a university campus here filled the air with enthusiasm on Friday.

Each and every member in the crowd at SGT University was thrilled by the presence of the 'Khiladi'.

The stars addressed the crowd members, who were waiting for the cine stars. And "Gabbar Is Back" was the uproar amongst the crowd.

Actor Suman Talwar, who has featured in over 150 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, will be making his Bollywood debut as a villain in "Gabbar Is Back". He says the fight sequences with Akshay Kumar in the film weren't tough.

"Akshay recommended my name for this film. I had a great time shooting for this film. I had no difficulty in shooting with Akshay as he is also trained in martial arts, and the action in this film is very real," Suman told IANS.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta feels that Akshay Kumar's stardom is such that he can draw viewers to sensible cinema like the actor's forthcoming "Baby", which deals with terrorism.

Actor John Abraham has replaced Akshay Kumar in "Welcome Back" and "Hera Pheri 3". But he says this has not had any effect on their camaraderie.

Asked about it, John said: "When I signed 'Welcome Back', I called up Akshay and I gave him the news first. He was very happy and said, 'It's a great film to do'."

Actress Nimrat Kaur, who was last seen in the critically acclaimed film "The Lunchbox", is excited to share screen space with Akshay Kumar in "Airlift".

When asked about the film, Nimrat said: "I've signed a film called 'Airlift' opposite Akshay. It's a very good story and we will shoot in Abu Dhabi. It is based on a real life story and I am very excited to work in this film."

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, "Airlift" is said to be based on the Indians who were stuck in Kuwait during the Gulf War.

Taliban gunmen Tuesday attacked an army-run school in north-west Pakistan killing as many as 126 people, most of them children, and celebrities from India and across the border condemned the killings saying it's a "sick" and "black" day for the human race.

Actor Akshay Kumar starrer "Brothers" which was intially set to release on Gandhi Jayanti next year has now been preponed to July 31. Karan Johar, who is co-producing the film, says the energy of the shoot has been incredible and that's why they took this step.

"The energy of the shoot has been incredible, so we have actually decided to prepone our release to July 31," Karan said in a statement.

"Brothers" directed by Karan Malhotra, also features Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff.

Actor Akshay Kumar took to micro-blogging website Twitter to unveil a glimpse of his upcoming action thriller “Baby”. The actor also said that film's trailer will be launched Dec 3.

“Here's the #BabySizzle a sneak peak for what awaits! First look launches on #3December,” the actor tweeted Thursday.

Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia, who has written comedy for the first time with "The Shaukeens", Saturday said he didn't direct the film as he was "scared".

Akshay Kumar-starrer “Entertainment" has earned over Rs.20 crore in the first two days of its release.

The movie is named after a Golden Retriever, who plays a key character and has been supported by animal-rights activist and Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi.

Actors Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia have donated all the clothes from their film "Entertainment" to Youth Organization in Defence of Animals (YODA).

The organisation works for the welfare of street animals and Akshay also bought an item here.

'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar is a proud hubby! While his wife Twinkle considers him the "man of the house", he makes no bones about calling her his "superwoman".

Bollywood action star Akshay Kumar will perform on the inaugural day of the Wave World Kabaddi League (WWKL), starting Aug 9 in London.

WWKL is the first international kabaddi league coming out of India and the tournament will see eight teams fighting for the trophy.

The song is the first to be released from the album of the forthcoming film "It's Entertainment", which marks the directorial debut of writers Farhad-Sajid.

The track, based on a very popular nursery rhyme, has Akshay lip-synching to a female’s voice in a fun avatar. He will be seen singing some hilarious lines like "Maine pe nahiii" and "Haanji main peela di gayi".

A six-degree black belt holder in martial arts, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar's dream is to make martial arts a compulsory subject in school for both boys and girls, saying it is as important as physics or maths.

"I feel a certificate in martial arts is more important than a certificate in physics or mathematics," Akshay told IANS in an interview.

"I am in talks with the government to have martial arts as a compulsory subject for boys and girls. I look forward to the day every student would learn martial arts for at least three years. It is my dream," he added.
