Popular television artist Sharad Kelkar, who was last seen in Marathi film "Lai Bhaari", will be making his Telugu debut as the antagonist in upcoming film "Gabbar Singh 2".

He will feature alongside actor-politician Pawan Kalyan.

"Sharad has been finalised as the baddie. It was during the first schedule shooting in Maharashtra that the makers saw Sharad's performance in a TV serial. Quite impressed by his looks, they decided to approach him, and he was immediately brought on board," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

Sharad Kelkar appreciates the change in perception where people are not categorising actors as TV or movie artists anymore. He is hopeful that the distance between film and TV would end some day.

If Sharad worked in serials like "Saat Phere", "Bairi Piya", "Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka" and "Uttaran", he also had big screen experience with films like "Uttarayan" and "1920: Evil Returns".

Hospital romance "Kuch Toh Log Kahenge" has completed 250 episodes on small screen and actress Kritika Kamra, who plays Dr.Nidhi, says so far the journey has been wonderful.

"It was obviously a lovely journey. It does not even feel like we have completed 250 episodes," Kritika said here while celebrating on the sets.

"It feels like just a few days back we had celebrated 100 episodes and now it's 250. That's how it should be, it means people are enjoying it," she added.

Television actor Sharad Kelkar, who is replacing Mohnish Behl in "Kuch Toh Log Kahenge", says he won't copy the former's style and will just play the lead character of Dr. Ashutosh.

"The director thought since the character requires a certain amount of maturity so I would perfectly fit into it. But I am not stepping into Mohnish-ji's shoes. I am stepping into the character's shoes. He acted very well and was brilliant in the show. But I am not going to copy him," Kelkar told IANS.

Mohnish is said to have left the show due to health reasons. His exit from the show is centred around an accident, and the scene was shown Tuesday night.

The show, which went on air last October, is the Indian adaptation of popular Pakistani TV series "Dhoop Kinare". It is about love between two doctors with a wide age gap.
