Diablo II: Resurrected Patch 2.3.1 is out for PC and consoles, the most recent update for Diablo II: Resurrected tackles a number of issues that developed as a result of the PC version's recent implementation of the quick-cast functionality.

Diablo II: Resurrected Patch Note 2.3.1

The quick-cast feature, which was previously only available on the console version of the game, was added to Diablo II: Resurrected on PC earlier this month, along with an active skills bar that shows which keys abilities are mapped to. It aligns the game with modern action RPGs like Diablo III by allowing players to activate skills directly by hitting hotkeys instead of hotkeys merely shifting skills to the left or right mouse button. On PC, quick-cast is an optional function that can be disabled or enabled in the game's settings.

In Patch 2.3.1, quick-cast skills will now properly work and target players and corpses, along with this the quick-cast auras will no longer prohibit player characters from moving. Quick-casting for talents like Inferno and Arctic Blast has been improved, and melee skills initiated with quick-cast can now move to mouse cursor places outside of a settlement.

Additional improvements in the new patch include the ability for players to modify their "force move" keybinding, as well as the ability to continue moving after performing a skill by holding down the relevant key. The update also fixes visual artifacting and a slew of flaws. Diablo II: Resurrected now has a public test world where gamers may try out impending game modifications. Blizzard used the PTR to address ongoing server reliability concerns, which included the implementation of a login wait for peak playtimes as well as other restrictions.
