Fans of Grand Theft Auto can now celebrate since The Trilogy is no longer in the dark. Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, as most fans are aware, the trilogy will include remastered versions of three games: GTA San Andreas, GTA Vice City, and GTA 3. The revised titles will be available "later this year" for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (through the Rockstar Games Launcher).

What to expect from the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition?

As part of GTA 3's 20th anniversary, the remastered trilogy will be released, and GTA Online will be upgraded with anniversary-themed events, apparel, liveries, and more. GTA Online fans will be treated to some shocks, according to Rockstar, "including the imminent prospect of some weird activities occurring in and around Southern San Andreas." Next year, mobile ports will be added. “Across-the-board changes, including graphics improvements and modern gameplay enhancements” are promised for all three games in Rockstar's collection, “while keeping maintaining the vintage look and feel of the originals.” More information will be released in the following weeks, and Rockstar has warned that existing versions of the old GTA games will be removed from digital stores starting next week.

Availability on Android & iOS

The trilogy will also be available on iOS and Android, which is a unique feature. Rockstar didn't go into much detail about it, other than to state that it will be released in the first half of 2022. GTA Online will also be made as thrilling as possible by Rockstar, so fans can expect a few more improvements to help the game grow in no time, not that it needs much flourishing.

Over the last two decades, the Grand Theft Auto series has amassed millions of views and player raves, making it one of the most well-known games on the globe. Fans couldn't understand why Rockstar didn't announce anything about GTA 6, one of the most anticipated games in the series, given that the franchise has never been slow to provide new content.
