According to Leakster Digital Chat Station, Oppo's upcoming flagship smartphone, the Reno7 Pro model (PFDM00), will use the Sony IMX766 sensor.

This could be the same phone that is being developed in collaboration with Kodak and will use two such sensors. That could be a new Find model instead.

In any case, the IMX766 is a very common sensor being used in Oppo and its sub-brands. It is currently used in the Reno6 Pro+, as well as the Reno6 Pro with Snapdragon and the Find X3 Pro flagship. This sensor (or modified versions of it) is also found in phones from OnePlus, Realme, Vivo, and other manufacturers.

It is a 1/1.56” sensor with 50 MP resolution and 1.0 µm native pixels (which grow to 2.0 µm with 4-in-1 binning). Also, it supports Dolby Vision and HDR and All-Pixel autofocus.

According to DCS, this sensor will result in a significant improvement in image quality on the Reno7 model when compared to the Reno6 Pro.

However, this refers to the Dimensity 1200 version of the 6 Pro, which is only available in China and features a 64 MP OmniVision OV64B, a 1/2.0" sensor with 0.7 m pixels.

Because the OV64B is also used in the vanilla Reno6, the new vanilla model should also get a camera upgrade.
