Google the search giant has officially unveiled its most awaited Google Pixel 6 series which includes — the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Both the smartphones come with a revamped design, hefty display, latest Android 12 version, in-display fingerprint scanner. According to the company, both the handsets are built of recycled aluminium to reduce carbon footprints, the smartphone comes with a triple rear camera setup and features a similar design which has been witnessed so far in numerous leaked renders. Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro price
The newly launched Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are launched in three colour variants with a starting price of USD 599 (approx Rs 44,969) for the base variant of Pixel 6. On the other hand, the Pixel 6 Pro is launched with a starting price tag of USD 899 (approx Rs 67,492). The price point of both handsets seems to be impressive considering the top-notch design and hardware upgrades.
The Google Pixel 6 will be available for sale in three colour options including —Tinted gray with vibrant yellow combination, pastel pink and juicy red with black metal band, and dark gray with black.
While the bigger sibling also offers three colour shades including the warm white colour combination with tinted gray, black, and light gold. Both the smartphone are available for pre-orders starting today and they will be available for sale in stores starting on October 28th.
Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro Specifications
The newly launched Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are powered by the company in-house Google Tensor chipset, which is said to be designed specifically around Google ambient computing vision and Google’s work in AI. On the software front, the Pixel 6 series runs on the latest Android 12 UI which the company is calling “Material You”. According to the company, the Pixel 6 series is designed with all new privacy and security features to safeguard users information. The smartphones come with an all-day adaptive battery with fast charging, and 5G connectivity. The Google Pixel 6 is backed by 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage variant, while the Pixel 6 Pro is powered by 12GB RAM with 128GB and 512GB of onboard storage.
The newly launched Pixel 6 flaunts a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate along with a center-drilled punch-hole cutout design for a selfie camera setup. While the Pixel 6 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch massive QHD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a similar punch-hole design. Both the handsets are water and dust resistant and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is one of the toughest gorilla glass from the company. Under the hood, the Pixel 6 is fuelled by a 4614mAh battery and the Pro variant is juiced by a 5003mAh battery
Underneath the display, the Pixel phones feature a fast fingerprint sensor for easy unlocking. Google flaunted that the company has a vision towards sustainable products and keeping that in mind the company has designed Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with recycled aluminium to reduce the carbon footprint. The search giant is also offering frosted translucent cases which are made from recycled materials.
The newly launched Pixel 6 series is said to be the most secure Pixel phone ever thanks to the Tensor security core and CPU-based subsystem. The company has also introduced the next-generation dedicated security chip called Titan M2, which works with Tensor security core to protect users sensitive user data, Pins, and passwords. Titan M2, Tensor security core, and the new open-source trusted execution environment of Google give pixel the most layers of hardware security. According to the company, every Google Pixel 6 user will get at least five years of security updates.
Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro Camera Features
The company is touting the Pixel 6 series as one of the most advanced smartphones in the world. Both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro features a primary 50-megapixel camera sensor with 82-degrees FoV with an aperture of 1.8. Both phone also comes with completely new 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lenses with 114-degrees FoV and f2.2 aperture. The Pixel 6 Pro features a 48-megapixel telephoto camera sensor with 4x optical and 20x Super Res zoom. The company has launched the Magic Eraser tool which will allow users to clean up all their photos. In Google Photos, you’ll see suggestions for distractions you might want to remove from your photo. You erase them all at once or tap one by one to remove them.
