Huawei P50 tipped to be world’s first 4G phone with Snapdragon 888 SoC
Huawei is planning to launch its P50 series soon in the home country of China at the end of July. The smartphone in the series is subjected to numerous leaks and rumours lately. We have also witnessed the Huawei P50 smartphone on the certification and benchmarking website. Now in the latest development, it has been reported that the vanilla variant of the Huawei 950 will be launched on July 29 and it will be the world’s first 4G version of the Snapdragon 888 chipset.
According to the Chinese publication My Drivers, the Huawei P50 is going to launch on July 29th and this time the company will not postpone the launch anymore. As per the reports, an employee of the Huawei offline store has claimed that the P50 series will be launched on July 29th and the device is going to be the first smartphone in the world to feature a 4G variant of the Snapdragon 888 chipset.
Huawei P50 series leaked specifications
Going with a recent leak, the Huawei P50 is going to launch with a triple rear-camera setup with the combination of Sony IMX707, Sony IMX600, and 3x Telephoto lens. The Pro variant of the phone is tipped to launch a quad-camera setup with the combination of a Sony IMX800, Omnivision OV64A, 5x Periscope, and ToF / New Sensor.
The Huawei P50 Pro is tipped to launch with a 2.5K (1224x2696 pixels) display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The handset will be supporting 5G connectivity and WiFi-6 thanks to the Snapdragon 888 chipset. Leica seems to be launching its latest phone in Japan soon, but its partnership between Huawei and Leica will continue. The P50 series is said to launch with a Leica lens. Besides, the leaked renders have also showcased a fancy branding at the rear panel. Do note the company has yet to reveal anything officially and we recommend you to take this information with a pinch of salt and wait for the official launch.
