All the Hindus around the world will be celebrating Rama Navami today, i.e. April 13, 2019.  Rama Navami marks the birth of Lord Rama (the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu). For the uninitiated, Lord Ram (also known as Lord Rama) was born in Ayodhya to Queen Kaushalya and King Dasharatha. The festival holds a lot of importance in Ayodhya, as it is the birthplace of Lord Rama.

 

This festival is considered as very auspicious, and hence, all the devotees of Lord Rama celebrate this day with immense zeal. On this day, while many devotees visit the temples to offer their prayers to Lord Rama, there are some who worship the Lord at their home. Many chant holy mantras and also recite Ramayana.
