Ranu Mondal became an overnight sensation when a video of her singing a Lata Mangeshkar song at a railway station went viral online. Post that, Himesh Reshammiya signed Ranu as she bagged a recording deal with the singer and composer. As we speak, Ranu Mondal enjoys a massive fan following on the internet and she has featured on several singing reality shows. Now, a few days back, Ranu Mondal was in the news when a fake picture of the singer went viral on social media wherein she was bashed, left right and center for her make-up.

If that wasn’t enough, Ranu Mondal yet again, finds herself mired in controversy as a clip of the singing sensation has gone viral wherein she forgets the lyrics of her mentor Himesh Reshammiya's song 'Teri Meri'. That’s right! Ranu Mondal was attending an event in the city, wherein expectedly, she was asked to sing a song of her choice and Ranu Mondal decided to sing a song by her mentor and composer Himesh Reshammiya. But what happened next was something that nobody would have expected because while the audiences were eagerly waiting for Ranu Mondal to sing, she took a long pause only to tell the audiences that she has forgotten the lyrics. Post that, Ranu’s reaction got a few laughs and giggles from the audience, but soon after, Ranu Mondal again started trending on social media and became a meme or sorts with netizens mercilessly trolling her for forgetting the song lyrics.

Recently, Ranu made headlines when a photo that saw her in bad make-up began doing the rounds on social media. While netizens were quick to start a meme fest online, her make-up artist later clarified that the photo was “fake” by sharing the real picture.
