Composer and singer Adnan Sami mourns over the untimely demise of Sushma Swaraj, the Former Union Minister of External Affairs, India. The BJP stalwart passed away on Tuesday evening after a cardiac arrest. The veteran leader was admitted to AIIMS last night and was straightaway taken to the emergency ward. At the age of 67, she left us after making unparalleled contributions to the country in the field of politics. This sudden misfortune took the nation with grief and left everyone shocked. 

Lamenting over the great loss, Adnan expressed his admiration and reverence for the late minister, addressing her as a loving and caring woman. He tweeted, "My family & I are in complete shock to learn the tragic news of dear Sushma ji's sudden demise. She was a motherly figure for all of us; an extremely respected stateswoman; exceptional orator & a very loving, caring & warm soul. Will miss her dearly. #sushmaswaraj #RIPSushmaJi (sic)." 

Adnan Sami first came to India in 2001. It was owing to efforts of Sushma Swaraj that he got the Indian citizenship and began his career as a playback singer in India. With his sensational songs like Tera Chehra Jab Nazar Aae and Kabhi Toh Nazar Milao ruling the charts, he extended his work visa from time to time. Once again in 2018, Adnan sought help from Sushma Swaraj when his team was mistreated at the airport immigration while he was performing live in Kuwait.
