One of the most beloved names in the Indian entertainment industry, Ram Kapoor, along with his actress-wife Gautami Kapoor, lives in a spectacular sea-facing apartment in the posh locality of South Mumbai. Estimated to be worth around Rs 20 crore, this massive home is far from any typical celebrity showpiece. The popular TV and film star has personally customized the entire space, seamlessly blending less but luxury design philosophy in his technology-forward home.

Among the popular TV couples are Ram Kapoor and Gautami Kapoor, who live in a lavish, pet-friendly South Bombay sanctuary, which they share with their children and two dogs.

The experience of their futuristic home begins right at the front door. The apartment features an incredibly grand main door that is jokingly referred to by their staff as the vault gate.

Next to the dark brown entry door sits a custom glass installation reading ‘42 Kapoor’, which features the Lock Upp 2 contestant's own handwriting etched onto the glass. Apparently, the home features a keyless entry system powered by advanced facial recognition software.

Upon stepping into the main hallway, visitors are greeted by a massive, sophisticated painting. Demonstrating the home's thoughtful design, Ram has strategically placed a mirror directly opposite the hallway so the artwork's face can be seen reflecting perfectly from multiple angles.

The expansive living room is decorated in soothing nude, tan tones paired with warm, cozy lighting. A massive L-shaped sofa sits under a striking, large wall painting. Massive curved French windows allow natural light into the space and open out into an airy balcony overlooking the sea.

On the opposite side of the expansive hall sits a contemporary dining space with brown chairs under a chic modern overhead light installation. The space allows people to enjoy the horizon and the sea while sitting down for dinner.

As a passionate cinephile, Ram’s absolute favorite corner is his high-tech entertainment room, heavily decorated in red-and-black color palette. The room boasts an international-grade surround system and incredible revolving speakers.

Tucked into the party zone of the main living area is perhaps the most talked-about feature of the house: a custom coffin-shaped bar counter. Lined with an enviable collection of premium spirits.

In stark contrast to the moody tones of the entertainment room, the couple's kitchen is a spotless, bright, all-white haven highlighted by hints of black and brown. It is fully air-conditioned and fitted with automatic motion-sensor dustbins and lighting that shifts based on movement.

The master bedroom is designed strictly as a minimalist, peaceful retreat away from the hustle of the city. The home also features a dedicated guest room with a sleek mounted TV, and a highly unique, quirky red lip-shaped sofa in the attached bathroom.

No tour of the Kapoor residence is complete without mentioning their art collection, which includes a prized original piece by M.F. Husain. Another standout piece is a large portrait of Ram styled to look like Pablo Escobar.
