Popular television couple Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim are currently navigating an incredibly challenging phase on the personal front. Balancing major health crises within the family alongside their responsibilities as parents has taken an emotional and physical toll on them. In her recent YouTube vlog, she discussed taking double immunotherapy and gave an update on her father-in-law’s health. Read on!
Dipika Kakar talks about taking immunotherapy
Dipika Kakar, who has been battling stage 2 liver cancer, recently had a health scare when scans detected two new small cysts. Dismissing rumors about another immediate surgery, her husband and TV actor Shoaib Ibrahim confirmed that she has instead started her immunotherapy sessions.
In her recent vlog, Dipika spoke to her fans about the sessions. She admitted that the past few days have been very difficult for them since her father-in-law was hospitalized. “I am also undergoing treatment, and my immunotherapy has started. You already know about my father's health updates, and the good news is that he is getting better with each passing day. It is a big relief for all of us,” she revealed.
The Celebrity MasterChef fame further added that she recently underwent a session of double immunotherapy, and her upcoming sessions will continue through IV treatment. “So far, I haven't experienced any major side effects. In my case, I had a lot of back pain and a slight fever once. Going forward, my immunotherapy will continue,” she stated.
The Sasural Simar Ka actress further shared that the doctors will be monitoring her health through regular blood tests, tumour marker tests, scans, and other investigations.
Further in the vlog, she highlighted that amid the family health scare, it’s her husband who is going through the toughest phase. “I think Shoaib is the one going through the toughest phase right now. He was already very worried about my health over the past year, and now, with my father's hospitalization, things have become even more difficult for him. He is handling everything very strongly,” she divulged.
