Popular television actress Dipika Kakar, who has been bravely battling stage 2 liver cancer for over a year, recently provided a fresh health update to her fans. Through a recent vlog shared by her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, the Sasural Simar Ka star gave a glimpse into her ongoing medical journey as she underwent her scheduled immunotherapy infusion session.

Dipika Kakar gives health update amid cancer treatment

In the new vlog shared on her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim’s YouTube handle, Dipika Kakar gave a health update. Lying on a hospital bed, looking fatigued but wearing her signature smile, Dipika shared that she’s been feeling drowsy due to the medications being infused in her body.

Soon, Shoaib came on camera and shared a reassuring message with well-wishers. Reflecting on the frequent clinical visits required for his wife’s treatment, he remarked, “This has now become a routine every 20–21 days.”

During the hospital vlog, Shoaib updated viewers that a few minor hitches arose during her latest routine checkup. He shared, “A couple of things came up. Her iron levels were a little low the last time, so they're giving her iron through an IV as well. After that, I think we'll head home in another one-and-a-half to two hours.”

Addressing the camera, she explained that she was experiencing minor side effects from the clinical prep. “Everything's good. I just feel a little dizzy because they gave me a medicine beforehand as pre-medication, which causes drowsiness. That's all. Otherwise, everything is absolutely fine,” the Master Chef contestant stated.

Unlike their last hospital visit, which required the couple to stay there overnight, Shoaib and Dipika revealed that this session was treated successfully as a day-care procedure. The timely discharge allowed the parents to return home to their toddler son, Ruhaan.

Shoaib noted that Ruhaan has become increasingly attached and slightly cranky lately. He also gets visibly anxious whenever his parents have to leave for the hospital.

For the unversed, Dipika’s health battle began in May 2025 when doctors discovered a huge tumor in her liver, leading to a major tumor-removal surgery. The actress faced another hurdle in early 2026 when a recurring cyst required a Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) procedure, followed by the discovery of two additional dot-sized cysts in a sensitive MRI scan. Now, she has been advised frequent immunotherapy sessions.
