Exclusive: Shivangi Joshi on her friendship with Jannat Zubair: We used to not like each other and then became best friends
In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Shivangi Joshi spoke about her friendship with TV actor Jannat Zubair.
Actor Shivangi Joshi is one of the highly acclaimed TV stars in present time. The versatile actor has turned 28 on May 18, 2026. She has worked across several TV shows like Beintehaa, Begusarai, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Balika Vadhu 2, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4 among several others. Now, in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Shivangi spoke at length about her childhood memories, birthday celebrations, her bond with her family, her friendship with Jannat Zubair, etc.

When asked about her friendship and pre-birthday celebration with her best friend Jannat Zubair, Shivangi said, "Female friendships are very special and very important also. If there is one extra friend, its always a good thing. Because it is equally important to have a genuine friend in your life. And I think Jannat and I, we are more like sisters now as it has been many years."
Talking about how they became friends and their bond grew, Shivangi revealed, "Everyone knows about our friendship. It is one friendship that nobody expected; we ourselves did not expect to become friends as there was no reason for it. In fact, we used to not like each other... and then we became the best of friends. We are those friends who call one another and share things, if we become sad, we sit and talk it out. If we are happy, we share about that as well."
On her Bali adventure with Jannat
Shivangi further mentioned about their Bali trip. She said, "We went to Bali. It was the first time both of us had travelled to Bali and it was just the two of us. There were no family members or other friends. And it was a lot of fun. She is my person for sure."
