In a candid admission, she revealed that the two have been living separately for the past year and that the decision was mutual.
Recently, the tension reached a peak when Gaurav entered the Lock Upp 2 house. As the gates opened, the inmates were stunned, and Akanksha was visibly moved, breaking down in tears upon seeing him.

While talking about divorce from Gaurav, Akanksha explained that the separation stems from different visions for the future, specifically regarding starting a family. “He wants to have kids, and I can't give him that. I didn't want to put him in that situation,” she shared during an emotional conversation on the show.
Despite the difficult news, Gaurav has remained a pillar of strength for Akanksha and has consistently expressed his love and continued support for her. In public statements, he reiterated, “I still love and support her. I will always support Akanksha. She is my wife. I will not turn my back on that.”
