It’s just over a week since its premiere, and the contestants of the jail-themed reality series, Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, already want to exit the show. In a highly dramatic and emotional turn of events, popular television actor Ram Kapoor and Bollywood star Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja have broken down on camera, demanding an immediate exit from the show. Ram Kapoor, Sunita Ahuja demand to leave show

Lock Upp Season 2 showcases the contestants the grim conditions in which inmates live in confinement. Even though they are popular public figures, they have to bear the brunt of being in such a stringent reality TV show. But sadly, Ram Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor have no patience left.

The tension inside the show escalated when the celebrity inmates exhausted their weekly ration budget, triggering a harsh penalty from the jail management. The contestants were subjected to a grueling 12-hour starvation period before being served a watery, clear vegetable soup.

Sunita Ahuja, 59, completely lost her composure upon seeing the food. She fiercely slammed the producers and refused to touch the meal, asking other contestants to join her in the hunger strike.

Ram Kapoor also joined Sunita despite being offered his own full meal tray. The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain star refused to eat. An emotional Ram Kapoor stated that consuming his food under those conditions would make him lose his self-respect.

During an inside task, Sunita broke down in tears, completely refusing to participate. She emotionally recalled the advice of her husband Govinda (whom she affectionately calls 'Chi Chi').

“He told me not to do this show. I just want to return home to my children. I would rather fall sick outside than be treated like this," she pleaded, demanding that the makers let her go.

While the prison is starting to feel too real for the Bollywood elites, hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh welcomed wildcard Shilpa Shinde.

As of right now, the show's producers have not confirmed whether they will penalize the duo for breaking contract rules or if Ram and Sunita will be asked to leave.
