Four years after its explosive debut season, India's most unapologetic reality TV show is officially breaking back into our screens. Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa, the second season is ready to serve unfiltered drama, mind games, and an entirely new system with Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh as the new jailers. Know about Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa
The makers of Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa have been teasing the audience with some interesting details about the upcoming reality TV show. After creating confusion, they finally revealed that ace Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan and actor-director Riteish Deshmukh will be hosting Season 2 of the show as its new jailers. The upcoming season promises to be bigger, bolder, and significantly more chaotic.
The recently dropped teaser showcases a good-cop, bad-cop energy brewing between the two. Farah brings her trademark sharp, unfiltered wit and zero-nonsense attitude, while Riteish comes with his charismatic, observational style. Together, they are prepared to force the contestants to ‘own their truth’ to survive the show.
This time, a total of 14 celebrity contestants will be locked inside a high-pressure prison-like environment. Unlike the traditional reality show, this season will only be six weeks long. Inmates are completely kept away from the outside world and stripped of basic everyday luxuries.
To secure fundamental necessities like edible food, hot water, or proper bedding, contestants will be split into teams to battle out taxing mental and physical tasks.
True to the tagline ‘Sach ya Sazaa’, the contestants will have to save themselves from brutal punishments or elimination by opening up about dark, heavily guarded secrets from their actual personal and public lives.
While the full and final list of the 14 inmates is heavily guarded, a few massive names have been circulating online. Popular television actress Shivangi Joshi, loved for her iconic role as Naira in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is allegedly the first confirmed inmate for Season 2.
Some of the heavily rumoured contenders are actor Ram Kapoor, Uorfi Javed, Archana Gautam, Sunita Ahuja, Shilpa Shinde, and Urvashi Dholakia.
Well, unlike Season 1, Season 2 will be streamed on Netflix from June 27, 2026. New episodes will drop every Saturday through Wednesday at 8:00 PM IST.
