After Ishqbaaaz, Kumkum Bhagya, now Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain to have a spin off?
Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain starring Saumya Tandon and Shubhangi Atre in leading roles to get a spin off? Read on.
After Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna's Ishqbaaaz and Sriti Jha and Shabhir Ahulwalia's Kumkum Bhagya, it is Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai which will reportedly have a spin off. Ishqbaaaz's spin off Dil Boley Oberoi and Kumkum Bhagya's spin off Kundali Bhagya started the precedent and rumours are rife that Ye Hai Mohabbatein might also get a spin off. According to the report in IMW, the channel has reportedly given a green lit Edit II (Binaifer and Sanjay Kohli) to start work on a separate show based on their another popular Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain character named Happu Singh, played by Yogesh Tripathi who was a corrupt cop.
Happu is a character who usually refers to his constantly-pregnant wife and nine kids in Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hain, but they were never shown. The spin off will finally see him and family in an active mode much to the delight of fans. However, the spin off will not cast any other character from the original show. The makers intend to keep it a fresh story. Happu has always been a very important pillar of the story and with the show completing 1000 episodes now, what better gift for the audience?
Post Saumya Tandon, who plays Anita Bhabhi in the show, taking a pregnancy break, Happu’s character has been given more space, along with Tikka (Vaibhav Mathur), Malkhan (Deepesh Bhan) and Tillu (Syed Salim Zaidi).
