Bigg Boss 12: Diya Aur Baati Hum fame Deepika Singh approached for the show?

Deepika Singh, who was last seen in Star Plus' show Diya Aur Baati Hum, is reportedly approached for participating in the reality show Bigg Boss 12.

Television's very own Sandhya Bindani aka Deepika Singh is all set to return to the small screen. Deepika shot to fame with the Star Plus' show Diya Aur Baati Hum, in which she played an IPS officer. Sandhya Bindani had become a common name in the Indian households, courtesy, the gripping story and Deepika's impeccable acting.

Now, according to a report by India Today, Deepika is being approached by the makers of Indian reality show Bigg Boss, which is gearing up for its twelfth season. The show is hosted by superstar Salman Khan, where a number of people belonging to different backgrounds are locked up together in a house and are made to perform various tasks to move further in the game. Deepika is yet to sign the dotted line and make an official announcement.

Apart from Deepika, television actors and real-life couple  Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee were also reportedly under consideration for the same. However, when contacted, the reports were rubbished by Gurmeet, on the grounds that he has two Bollywood films in the pipeline, and hence, does not have time for a reality show.

Another television actress who was approached by the show was Helly Shah. However, Helly turned down the offer saying, "I didn't want to do it or open up my personal life for such a show. That's why I refused the proposal. But I'm glad that channel and production considered me for the same."

If reports are to be believed, Bigg Boss 12 will invite couples this year, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make this season the most controversial one in the entire franchise.
