Bigg Boss 12: Salman Khan revisits the iconic Bollywood jodis during the promo shoot for the reality show

Salman Khan to introduce the new theme for Bigg Boss 12 by revisiting the iconic duos of Bollywood including Karan Arjun.

After the colossal success of Bigg Boss 11, the Salman Khan hosted show is back with its 12th edition, however, the theme this time is slightly different. Bigg Boss 12 which premieres from September 16, 2018, will see popular/commoner pairs fighting it out in the glass-walled house for a period stretching up to 90 days. A few confirmed names for the same include newlyweds Milind Soman and Ankita Konwar, Ishqbaaaz fame Srishty Rode with husband, Subohi Joshi and her comedian BF, Make-up artist Ryan Peterson and Splitsvilla 7 winner Scarlett Rose.

Superstar Salman Khan shot for the promo a few days back and will be seen introducing the new edition in his own unique style. He even revisited the iconic Bollywood jodis as part of the promo. A source informed Mumbai Mirror that the posters of Anil Kapoor-Jackie Shroff-starrer Ram Lakhan, Salman Khan-Shah Rukh Khan's Karan Arjun, Hema Malini in and as Seeta and Geeta and Sholay's Jai and Veeru were seen embellishing the walls of the sets.

"The channel wanted to announce the theme in an interesting way and he incorporated some of his signature dance moves from popular hits. With the cameras rolling, Salman made an impromptu inclusion of his famous Jawaani Phir Na Aye towel step from Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and went on to add the Dabangg hook step. He even hummed his current favourite, Dil Diyan Gallan, from Tiger Zinda Hai," a source informed Mumbai Mirror.

Bigg Boss 12 will feature jodis from all walks of life but they won't necessarily be lovers. It will be an ensemble of mother-daughter duo, boss-employee or uncle-nephew. Interesting, right?  The reality show will be shot in Lonavala. Salman will begin shooting for the same after concluding his Malta schedule for Bharat, which is being helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

Bigg Boss 12 is expected to end by December this year unlike every year to make way for another reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.
