Anita Hassanandani has been juggling between a lot of shows currently, one of which is Yeh Hai Mohabbatein with which she has had a long association of 6 years. Anita plays the role of Shagun on the show. Her appearance in saree and the style with which she carries it off has become one of the trendsetters on Indian television. Rumours of the show going off-air have been doing the rounds for the longest time, but nothing concrete on the same has been announced. Recently, again rumours suggested that the Divyanka Tripathi, Karan Patel starrer will go off-air as Star Plus is planning to bring in a new concept-based show.

Anita, who is now also a part of Khatra Khatra Khatra, reacted to the rumour when asked and told Hindirush, “Even I have heard but I think it (the show) has run its course. We have been on-air for the last 6 years and each character has been explored beautifully. Each character and individual has played all the shades, so I think it's done very well. Hence, even if it ends, will feel a bit bad but it is okay because it has run for 6 years which is an achievement. But I have received no confirmation on it going off-air.” Well, that's a positive way to take things in stride.

Meanwhile, Anita is also a part of Naagin 3 which is one of the most watched shows on Indian television. YHM though started on a high note ultimately succumbed to daily soap pressure making it any other quintessential saas-bahu drama. The show started off as a story of two different cultures and human beings coming together to take care of a child. It addressed the issues of infertility, second marriage and more during the initial few years.
