Shantanu Maheshwari and his baliye Nityaami Shirke have been raising the bar higher each time with their jaw dropping performances and amazing concepts and themes on Nach Baliye season 9. Following the recent 'Ulta Pulta' theme this weekend where the boys had to become girls and the girls had to become boys, the duo went a notch higher this time as well by playing the show's judges Raveena Tandon and Ahmed Khan!

Impressing the judges themselves as well as celebrity guests Ayushman Khurana and Nushrat Bharucha with their oomph factor, signature costumes and the judge swag they put up on stage, Shantanu and Nityaami absolutely rocked this particular act!

Speaking about keeping in mind the balance between playing their judges on stage and keeping the act humourous, Shantanu shares, "This act was definitely a challenge for us, to specially bring in Raveena maam's confidence and Ahmed sir's swag into our performance, and to also make it look like how our choreographers wanted it to!  So doing full justice to Raveena maam and Ahmed sir's characters was what we aimed at! And at the same time our choreographers Macedon and Subhash really ensured that we keep a good balance between the humour, fun element and dance keeping in mind our props and Nityaami's injury as well."

Speaking about his girl avatar this time, Shantanu shares, "It was a fun challenge to actually get into Raveena maam's character this time! Which also had me wax my hands and trim my leg hair, and the hair and makeup which actually took me a good 1 and a half hours to get done! Other than that ensuring that my dance moves had to have a feminine touch to them as well as match Raveena maam's moves, which made the overall preparation for this act quite fun and enjoyable for Nityaami and me!"
