Television's heartthrob Shaheer Sheikh is also one of the most versatile actors on Indian Television. From playing Arjuna in Mahabharata to playing the quintessential son in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Shaheer nailed it like a Boss.
We caught up with Shaheer recently for a quick interaction. When asked what kind of a role is he in pursuit of, Shaheer revealed that he would love to be a part of a historical show.
Ask Shaheer if there is any current Television character he would like to do, the handsome actor promptly said, "NO" and after a thought added, "but I recently saw a few scenes of Mughal-e-Azam again and Dilip Kumar sir has done such a beautiful job in it. I was like I wish something like this I could recreate or get an opportunity to play such a character. I did a mythological show and then contemporary... I haven't tried anything historical so maybe I would like to that."
Interestingly, Shaheer is reportedly in talks with Anirudh Pathak of Prithvi Vallabh fame for his magnum opus which is said to be based on Mughal-e-Azam. The actor has apparently been approached to play Salim in the show.
Regarding this, a source had informed a leading daily that Shaheer has apparently shown interest in the project and will be taking a call once he is back in India.
