When Kapil announced about his engagement, fans went into a tizzy and soon after that, Kapil's account was filled with congratulatory messages. The pre-wedding festivities have already kicked in with much fanfare in the city of Jalandhar. Both Kapil and Ginni are enjoying this phase of their lives and will soon be man and wife.

The bride-to-be's family started off the celebrations by taking almighty's blessings and kept Akhand Path at their house. Ginni looked stunning in a wine coloured outfit for the function in the day. She changed to a blood red coloured attire for the bangle ceremony. The pictures of the bride-to-be went viral instantly. Ahead of their wedding, Kapil and Ginni have sent out sweet tweets from Jalandhar to Bollywood celebs. They have made sure that it has the flavours of the land of Punjab.

According to Naresh Mittal, director of Lovely Sweets, "Ginni had come along with her family members and friends to see our new collection, and she liked our designs and presentation style, instantly. Ginni and Kapil wanted a perfect amalgamation of 'traditions and modernity' and our luxurious Royalty collection fit the bill perfectly."

"Both Kapil and Ginni were keen to share the flavours of Punjab with a touch of modernity and wellness with all friends and relatives invited for the wedding. They finally chose an eclectic mix of Dry Fruit Punjabi Panjeeri, Nutty Delights, Green Tea and Baked Delights as an accompaniment for their wedding invitations adorned by traditional Indian motifs and symbolism of elephants," Mittal said, as quoted by Bollywoodlife.

The grand, big, fat Punjabi wedding will be followed by a reception in Mumbai with popular Bollywood and television celebrities in attendance.
