Mahesh Bhatt: Thank you Sayantani Ghosh for pouring your soul into Neela in Naamkarann

Sayantani Ghosh will no more be a part of Star Plus' show Naamkarann. She played the role of Neela in the show. Mahesh Bhatt thanked the actress for pouring her soul into the character. 

Mahesh Bhatt took to his Twitter and shared, "The character of Neela MA in #Naamkaran was sourced from my heartfelt feeling of gratitude for my ‘other’ mother Hemlata ben. Thank you @sayantani0609 for pouring your soul into it."

A few characters from the show are inspired by real life and Neela is one of them. It was based on Mahesh Bhatt's mother.

In an interview with a leading portal, Ghosh revealed that she is not quitting the show but have to leave as it is the need of the story. 

She said, "First of all, I would like to clarify that I am not quitting the show. It’s the need of the story because of which my exit is happening. I have a lot of gratitude towards the show because it has given me a lot. I am the only actor here who has been here since the initial days and I have been showered with a lot of love from the fans. There have been a number of tweets from the fans for me ever since the news about my exit has been broken."

The actor also said that this was a very special show in her career. Sayantani said, "My character Neela has been based on stepmom and that’s what makes this show even more special. It has respected the beautiful relation of Avni and Neela who are not biologically related. Neela, the stepmother of Avni had a huge contribution in her life."
