Whenever a comedy show or movie hits the screens, talks about stereotyping start doing the rounds. While most actors have a strong disliking for such typecasts, others don't pay much heed to it. Versatile actress Rakhi Vijan, who is known for performing negative and comic characters with grace, is now gearing up to be a part of popular show  'Tera Kya Hoga Alia'. She will play Priyanka Purohit’s step-mother. Talking to Times of India, Rakhi Vijan spoke about the typecasting done in comedy genre. 

The Hum Paanch actress said that she has no qualms from the typecast. In fact, she feels blessed to have the gift to make people happy, as it is one of the toughest tasks to do. She was quoted saying, "Comedy is the most difficult genre and very few can make people laugh. So, I consider it a blessing to be able to bring smile on people’s faces." Vijan also said that comedy is close to her heart and she does not mind being typecast in the genre. She is delighted to be known for her characters and looks forward to making people happy.

Making fun of herself in playing the antagonist onscreen, Rakhi said that people often tell her that she doesn't look 'Bechaari' enough to tortured on a show. The actress, who is was last seen in 'Sajan Re Phir Jhoot Mat Bolo', is back after a enjoying a long break of one year. On the same she said, “Unlike the past, actors now have to work with 28 days in a month, and thus ample rest is required to keep the body energised and look fresh."

For the unversed, Rakhi Vijan has been approached to portray an important character in Ekta Kapoor's much-awaited supernatural thriller, 'Naagin 4'. ​
