Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush premiered on Colors from August 5 at 8: 30 PM. The show sees Himanshu Soni play Lord Ram as Shivya Pathania plays Sita. Produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, the show will see Ramayan from the perspective of Luv Kush and while that sounds exciting, this is Himanshu's fourth portrayal as lord. He earlier played Lord Krishna in Radha Krishna, Lord Vishnu in Ramayan, Buddha in the show by the same name and a modern Lord Shiva in Neeli Chatri Waale.

In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, when asked if, in this competitive world, he feels the nervousness of getting typecast, Himanshu said that he doesn't. "It takes a lot to play a divine character and if I am getting approached to play such roles, there must be a reason behind it. Why say no to it for no reason? And if this leads to me being typecast then be it. As long as I am enjoying playing the characters, I am fine with it."

Ask him if playing such mythological characters, ever take a toll on him, is switching on and off difficult on a daily basis? To this, Himanshu revealed, "Playing Buddha had taken a toll on me. I remember it affected me so much that I found it very difficult to come out of that character but post that I have learnt to switch on and off as per requirement for my own sanity. I have learnt to not let any character affect me so much."

Himanshu also shared that he is very excited to be playing Ram and for that, he as an artist has to understand and restraint himself from certain emotions and that is the most interesting part.
