When the makers of Sanjivani, the popular hospital drama, announced the second season of the show early this year, the fans couldn’t keep calm. After all, the show was making a comeback after 12 years with a new cast and new story. The show featured Surbhi Chandna, Namit Khanna, Mohnish Behl and Sayantani Ghosh in the lead and in no time it became popular among the audience. Viewers have been loving Surbhi and Namit’s performance and their chemistry in the show.

However, despite its massive popularity, there have been reports that Sanjivani will be pulled down soon. It is reported that the makers are planning to take the decision owing to the show’s low TRP ratings. However, Sayantani has dismissed the reports vehemently and said that she doesn’t believe any of these rumours. The actress stated that such rumours do get rife time and again. In fact, the same happened to her show Naamkarann as well. But the show enjoyed a decent run on television.

“While there is a lot of off-air talk going on in the industry, I don’t believe it, for I’ve faced it before with my Naamkarann stint, where we had been hearing similar news right from just 3 months of launch, and we all know how long it eventually lasted (2 years),” Sayantani was quoted saying to IWMBuzz.

In fact, the actress stated that instead of these rumours, she is busy focussing on her character and performance in the show. “Rather than bothering about things above my pay grade, I am more bothered about my complex character. Dr. Anjali is the most real character in the show. It was a challenge to bring out her layered personality, lest she is perceived as negative,” she added.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that reports of Sanjivani going off-air has surfaced. However, producer Siddharth P Malhotra shut the rumours and ensured that the show isn’t ending as of now.

Yes it should not end because it's going well with all twist n turns so it should continue
