After garnering enough praises for their magnum opus Mahabharat, Swastik Productions are creating ripples with another similar outing Suryaputra Karna. The production house recently shot and aired the famous cheer-haran sequence of the revered heroine Draupadi.

Pankhuri Awasthy, who is enacting the part of Draupadi, shared her thoughts on shooting the turning point of the story."I had an amazing time shooting for cheer-haran sequence. We all have been shooting day and night these days for the cheer-haran. sequence. This is a very important and powerful sequence. Draupadi cheer-haran is the reason of whole Mahabharata epic,” says the young actress.
Describing how she felt whilst shooting the scenes, Pankhuri said "As an actor it is a very challenging sequence to understand the agony of a woman who was assaulted and humiliated in front of her own family by her own family members and the worst part was no one reaching out for help. Cheer-haran is a tale of the helplessness, anger, pain, suffering and exploitation. It is all about the cruelty inflicted over a woman to destroy her existence and her freedom. I feel extremely proud and happy that I got a chance to do the role of Draupadi. It is an opportunity that comes to our way once."

Pankhuri has earlier played Razia Sultan for the namesake show on &TV. However, it is Suryaputra Karna which has made her a face to be reckoned with on television.
