Shoaib Ibrahim shares his father is off life support

Television heartthrob Shoaib Ibrahim has come forward to share a positive health update regarding his father. After suffering a critical brain hemorrhage that left him unresponsive, Shoaib’s father has officially been taken off ventilator support after a successful brain surgery.

Taking to his YouTube channel in an emotional vlog, the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa star detailed the stressful week the family went through and expressed immense gratitude for the little signs of recovery his father is showing.

The Sasural Simar Ka actor revealed that his father was rushed to the hospital on Sunday after a severe brain hemorrhage. Since his father was on blood thinners, immediate surgery was impossible, leading to a harrowing 3-to-4-day wait for the family. But finally, he underwent surgery, and it went well.

“Since then, he has started responding. Earlier, he wasn't reacting at all,” he shared, adding that his father's heart rate had increased and his blood pressure was also fluctuating.

According to Shoaib, “He was unable to swallow properly, so he was placed on a ventilator as a precautionary measure. However, he has now been taken off the ventilator. The support was removed on Sunday after 3-4 days.”

But currently, his father’s heart rate is under control. “Since he had been under anaesthesia for several days, it caused some gas build-up in his intestines, but that has also improved today,” the son further divulged.

Dipika Kakar’s husband, however, shared that his dad’s speech isn’t back and for that, he will be given therapy. “Speech abhi nahi hai. Dheere dheere unki speech therapy shuru hogi. Aj papa se milke aaya. Achchhe se smile kar rahe hai, respond kar rahe hain, bolne ki koshish kar rahe. Inshaallah woh dheere dheere hoga. (Speech is not back. Slowly, his speech therapy will start. I met with my father today. He is smiling and responding well, trying to talk, but that will happen slowly),” he added.

We wish Shoaib’s father a speedy recovery.
