After the Indian Premier League, Indian players are set to play in the World Cup 2019. The Men in Blue will take on New Zealand today in their first warm-up game. Both the teams are going to enter into this mega event as favourites, considering their exceptional run in the 2015 edition. To gain momentum in a big tournament, it's always important to start well. So, both the teams would be aiming a win. Pertinently, they will be keen to finalise their starting XI after this game. From Kohli to Williamson, there are several star performers playing this match. Let's take a look at three players who will be under the spotlight.

KL Rahul
Having made his place in the team amid a lot of criticism, KL Rahul will be keen to get going in this practice game. The right-handed batsman displayed both resistance and stroke-play recently in the IPL. He played some really good knocks for Kings XI Punjab. However, when playing for your country in an event like World Cup, it's never easy to control the nerves. The pressure of expectations from the team management makes the task even tougher. Though Rahul has been around for a while now, he could come out with the flying colours.

Kane Williamson
Kane Williamson had a disappointing IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The stalwart would be now hoping to gain back momentum ahead of the World Cup. Since Black Caps largely remain dependent on him in the batting department, his form becomes even more crucial. The Kiwi skipper has always been on top while playing against India. Also, having tasted all Indian bowlers in the IPL, Kane could well start the World Cup campaign on a top note.

Kuldeep Yadav
India's most successful ODI bowler in 2018, Kuldeep Yadav, also looked quite ordinary in the IPL. He failed to get breakthroughs as he gave too many runs in most of the matches. Now, to gain back the much-needed confidence, Yadav has to bag some wickets in the warm-up games. Kiwi batsmen found him very hard to deal with when India played against New Zealand the last time. The Chinaman would be eyeing to repeat the magic once he starts bowling in that Blue jersey today.
