Pakistani bowler, Hasan Ali bowled with an exceptional economy of 6.60 in their match against the hosts. The team’s phenomenal batting and bowling performance helped them to register their first win in the tournament.

However, it was not easy to emerge as winners after a disastrous match against the Windes where they scored the lowest total in this tournament. Pakistani batsmen couldn’t get past 105 runs in that match. However, to overcome that and to register a win against their toughest contenders required a lot of patience and hard-work. Over their last few matches, Pakistan squad was unable to make an impact and was also recently defeated in a series against the tournament’s favourites and hosts, England by 4-0.

Pakistan's fast bowler, Hasan Ali said that despite losing the previous 11 games in a row, though being disappointed, they still had faith in themselves. He mentioned that in a tournament like World Cup, it is essential to register a win to get that pressure out of your head and have a bit of a kick.

Ali also appreciated the team’s coach, Mickey Arthur for always backing them up. “But the one thing is very important, which is our coach is always backing us. That moment turned us as everyone was confident,” he mentioned.

The Men in Green on Monday displayed their best performance by setting up a huge target of 348 runs in the first innings against England in yesterday's match. Two of England's players, Joe Root (107) and Jos Buttler (103) scored centuries, but were unable to chase the huge target set by the Pakistan cricket team.
