Pakistan and Sri Lanka were both bowled out for less than 150 in their first game, but bounced back strongly to win their second. While Pakistan got the better of hot favourites England, Sri Lanka fought a tough game to beat Afghanistan. Both teams now have the momentum and will be looking to carry that forward when they meet on Friday.

Pakistan, after getting out for only 105 in the first game, scored a near 350-run total against England, highlighting once again why they are so unpredictable. The side got off to a good start with Fakhar Zaman taking responsibility, but his wicket slowed things down. The innings however gained momentum after a late onslaught from Mohammad Hafeez took them to 348.

Pakistan's bowling once again impressed with Mohammad Amir finding his rhythm and Wahab Riza bowling stump-to-stump. Even Hasan Ali executed his plans, and with all the departments firing, they defeated England easily.

Sri Lanka on the other hand failed to bat well in their second game as well, sliding from 144 to another low score. However, their bowling performed well, and they defended 187 runs in 41 overs. The weather conditions for this game says there are chances of rain, which means that seamers from both sides will be in the game.

However, Pakistan's superiority in the batting department and the fact that they defeated the number 1 side in their last game skews the game in their favour.
