Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati has been in the news ever since it has been announced. While the movie's lead cast hasn't been officially revealed, speculations are rife that Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been roped in as the lead actors.
Last week, there were reports that Deepika Padukone was being paid more than her beau Ranveer Singh for the movie. However, the official spokesperson of the movie, denied the news.
Now, a little birdie informed us, that the movie's second lead - Shahid Kapoor, who plays the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, is being paid 4 crores more than his normal charges by Bhansali.
"Shahid has agreed to play a second lead because it is a SLB film. And though his role has been etched nicely by the director, history has it, that Allauddin Khilji had an upper hand over Raja Rawal Ratan Singh," reveals our source.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati goes on-floors this month.
