The Rock and Jason Statham will be extremely happy with how the first spin-off from the Fast & Furious franchise, Hobbs & Shaw, is faring at the box-office. While the numbers aren't too extravagant, it's definitely leaving room for futures sequels based on the characters of Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw. Hobbs & Shaw doesn't lay too much stress on the previous F&F franchises and instead works towards building the story arcs of the two titular characters along with Idris Elba and Vanessa Kirby, who equally pack a punch!

When it comes to the global box-office numbers, Hobbs & Shaw has collected $220 million and counting. The North American box-office saw the Dwayne Johnson starrer earn $8.52 million on Tuesday while the total collections stand at $74.431 million, which is pretty impressive for a film releasing in the brink of summer ending. When it comes to the India box-office, Hobbs & Shaw has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark and is the fifth-highest Hollywood grosser trailing behind Avengers: Endgame, The Lion King, Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Hobbs & Shaw is yet to release in China (August 23, 2019) and it's a big market for the F&F franchise.

Black Superman meets his kryptonite. A huge mahalo to my brother-in-arms (literally) @idriselba for his 100% commitment to his role as the one and only, Brixton aka The Black Superman. He’s enormously talented as an actor, became a great partner to me in building out our franchise and more importantly, he’s a good quality dude. Until our next dance - I’ll see you down the road, brother. Respect HOBBS & SHAW #BlackSuperman @hhgarcia41
