One of the highly-anticipated films of 2019 is Quentin Tarantino's dramedy, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. The movie, which takes place in 1969, follows the lives of a struggling actor, Rick Dalton (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) and his trusted stunt double Cliff Booth (played by Brad Pitt). At the heart of this Quentin project is the Manson Family Murders and hence, comes into play, late actress Sharon Tate (played by Margot Robbie). Once Upon A Time In Hollywood promises to be a love letter to the film industry and LA.

While the India release date is still a few weeks away, last Friday, i.e. July 26, 2019, saw the release of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, in the US. According to Forbes, the Quentin Tarantino directorial has proved to be a charmer as it collected $40.35 million at the US box-office, during its opening weekend. It beat out Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds (2009), which earned $38 million in its opening weekend. Keeping inflation aside, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is officially Quentin's biggest opening weekend.

Meanwhile, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was originally going to release on August 9, 2019. However, the film got postponed to an August 15, 2019, i.e. Independence Day 2019 release. The Brad and Leo starrer will be clashing with Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer Mission Mangal as well as John Abraham starrer Batla House.
