The report revealed that on day 1, i.e. Thursday, Batla House raked in Rs 14.50 crore nett as it gained momentum through the day. As per the report, the film raked in more money post noon giving it a decent result. The total collection of Rs 14.50 crore nett would have been great if the film opened on a normal Friday. But considering it was a national holiday, the film's collections could have been better.

The report added that today's collections will reveal if the momentum was genuine or just the holiday factor. In fact, John Abraham's last year release Satyamev Jayate did splendid business on day one collecting over Rs 20 crore nett. Batla House is currently facing stiff competition from multi-starrer Mission Mangal.
