Bharat was off to a good start. The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer had registered a spot in the Rs 100-crore club even before their first weekend concluded. The movie, which released on Wednesday courtesy the Eid celebrations, was released earlier than the traditional Friday release hence helping the movie achieve the milestone early. However, it seems like the movie's pace at the box office is slowing down. The movie ended its first week with a collection of Rs 161 crores nett.

Box Office India reports that the movie is out of a rough start on its Day 8. The movie, which entered its second week on Wednesday, collected Rs 6.25 crore nett. This places Bharat's box office collection to Rs 167.25 crore. The movie witnessed a 20% drop as compared to Day 7 box office collection. Bharat had registered Rs 7.75 crores on Tuesday. The box office numbers do not appear to look up for the coming week. The box office site reports that Bharat's performance at the box office will take a hit as big cricket matches are scheduled to take place this week. "It can turn out to be a big struggle post the extended first week," the publication writes.

While we are yet to see how much this Salman Khan Eid release earns, the actor is already preparing for next Eid. The actor will take over Eid 2020 with Alia Bhatt in Inshallah. The movie is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actor-director duo reunite after 11 years.
