SS Rajamouli’s RRR featuring NT Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan is one of the most awaited films of the year. Besides these South superstars, the period action drama also features Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles. While Ajay recently completed his portions for the upcoming Dussehra release, Alia too was shooting for the film in December 2020. Team RRR had welcomed the actress on the set by posting a picture of Alia with Rajamouli. They captioned it, “A very warm welcome to our dearest #Sita, the supremely talented and beautiful @aliaabhatt on to the sets of #RRRMovie.”
Now, Pinkvilla has an exclusive update on Alia’s next schedule for the film. “Alia has finished shooting for all her sequences in RRR, except for two songs with Ram Charan. She will be flying to Hyderabad in April to shoot for the remaining numbers. Alia will start prepping for them closer to the shooting date. These larger-than-life song sequences will feature Alia in a never seen before avatar,” informs a source close to the development. Meanwhile, Alia is presently busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi.
She will soon start shooting for the film with Ajay Devgn who reportedly plays Karim Lala in the SLB directorial. Ajay will start filming from February-end and is expected to wrap it up by March 10. After Gangubai, Alia will shoot for some remaining portions of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmāstra with beau Ranbir Kapoor.
Interestingly, Rajamouli’s RRR will also be clashing with the Ajay Devgn and Priyamani starrer Maidaan in October this year.
